I have a 6 volt rechargeable battery system that has has a built in connecter for AC charging. The connector is is two pin male/female type. The female is built into the battery box and then wired to the two 6 volt batteries.

My goal with this project is to connect a small solar panel to charge the battery in the field. To do this I am trying to find the male side of this connector to wire on the solar panel wiring in order to take advantage of the built in connector already present on the battery box.

I am not familar with sources to find these types of components and was hoping that someone on this forum might be able to suggest where I could find such components. I have included pictures of the connectors. I have included pictures of the connectors and the solution.

One more item to add, I could cut the the connector off the AC charger, but I would rather not do that. I would instead like to find a source to purchase the connectors so the AC charger is still usable.

Appreciate any help or advice - thank you.

Two things:

1) the solar panel may be far too small to do any significant charging (or charging at a significant rate), but that's not to say it will be useless.

2) If you can't find the connector, cut the lead from the AC adapter and place a suitably polarised plug/socket in there. Then place the appropriate plug on the lead from the solar panel. You'll still be able to use either.
