Sony Handycam Video8 XR problem Tape stuck won't come out

I have a Sony Handycam Model # CCD-TR517. I hit the eject button took
out the tape looked at the tape, put the tape back in, the tape door
closed and the Handycam froze it didn't take the tape down and I can't
get the tape out. The power comes on but the tape doesn't move. If I
set the camcorder to Player it beeps and flashes C:32:30.

I really would like to at least get my tape out (it has my son's birth
on it!)
