Sound activated halogen work light

Hi all,

Now, I am not sure this is remotely possible or safe, but I would like to know if it could be done.

I would like to have a halogen work light that could be triggered by sound running through a microphone or speaker. Specifically I would like to place this microphone/speaker inside of a drum and have the sound of the drum being hit trigger the light.

i know there are many ways to trigger LEDs off a speaker, but I have been wondering about a halogen light.

Yes, just google "diy sound activated", many projects, some can handle
power switching needed via relay or SSR.

What turns it off again..???
Otherwise it would be a "one hit wonder"......
