Look at the scroll wheel. It has a push button also.

Kind of like a fat mouse wheel.

Looking for a source supplier. Talked to Mouser and Digikey, they never have seen it before.

Is this a part of a RC system? If so probably a proprietary OEM part.
Have you tried HobbyKing?
Google brings up all kind of sources!

Yes. I have talked to Horizon Hobby engineer friends of mine (the maker of the radio shown) and they said it's a customer part.

No go at HobbyKing or ebay. Probably a few years away from it becoming generally available.
Or I just hack mouse wheel parts as they are readily available.

The Spektrum operate a standard rotary encoder mounted sideways with the roller mechanically pivoting on the encoder end and the free end in a guide with a standard tactile switch mounted below the axle of the roller.

ahhhhh, I should of opened up my DX8 and DX6. Makes sense. Now I wonder how the ISDT charger enables the push button feature.

No idea what you are referring to "ISDT" charger.
If you describe your application and back it up with photos/sketches we can get a better insight.

There is a photo of the ISDT charger embedded in the first post.

Now I wonder how the ISDT charger enables the push button feature.

Being a smart charger, it would incorporate a microcontroller and use the tactile switch as an input.
What this input actually does would be determined by the software written therein.
