SPDT and SSR control

I apologise if this is too simple but I have never worked with SSR's. I want to have an option to control a fan where it is either permanently on or being controlled by the SSR. I think the below works or do I need to have a Diode after the SSR to stop that terminal going live when I am running permanently on?

No diode. Will work as you show (assuming 'live out' is the common terminal of the SPDT switch - which I guess it is).
