Speaker LED lightguide frontplate

How can I smoothen the lighting from a superthin Art Speaker LED lightguide frontplate and avoid highlights and shadows (from sound hole) and still allow sound coming through ? See prototype

Or you can try some thousand grit sandpaper scuff up the individual LEDs themselves, try a single LED first see how effective the light will disperse. Trial and error and go from there!

Forget what I just said... let's start over. The image looks horrible. How thin is super thin for the light guide, could you volunteer the manufacturer specifications.
LEDs as well. Any and all information you can provide would be most helpful. Show me a photo of what is behind the light guide. I need dimensions,a sense of scale.

3 mm plate with laser cut lightguide pattern, 3 mm LED strip. White folio on backside. Decotex canvas (sound transparent)
Overall 24x24".

I will take some close-ups

Pick up any old LCD/LED TV set that has a broken screen - you might find one in the nearest dumpster. Strip the screen for the light diffusing panel which will be as big as the display itself. Cut to size and use.

Better yet, remove the LCD part (take out the LCD-only - leave the diffuser/s in place) and use the whole frame as the mount for your artwork. You can do this with 'any' laptop/TV that offers the right size. You'll get the LED's and power supply already 'in place' and save some money too. If you don't need a 'border' then the display itself would be used as-is but a simple card cut-out to reduce the larger panels to a size that's suitable would look pretty professional - just as any framed picture comes with a 'border'....

Loads of 4:3 aspect ratio displays available for 'pennies' these days. Widescreen are suitable for portrait/landscape use.

So 3 mm White LEDs light sources those are characterized by temperature
in Kelvins.
Warm white(2600K to 3700 K ), neutral white (3700k to 5000 K ) & cool white (5000K to 8300 K) + Diffuser, which is your laser cut lightguide pattern of 45°
angle of incidence reflecting prism surface,typical in light guide designs (Top) + Your 3mm thick Light Guide Plate which is more than likely a (PET) or
Polyethylene terephthalate substrate (Middle) + White reflector which goes by the manufacture name of Decotex.
A canvas or Sheer white Voile Transparent Window Panel Curtain Drape. Which would be transparent to audio frequencies (Bottom layer).
Yeah! It is very ambitious and creative. I would go with the thousand grit sandpaper make sure not to deform the shape of the LEDs themselves…and your panels backwards turn it around .

The LEDs are not the problem. BTW it is 3 mm LED strip, not 3mm LED itself. The problem is the highlight and shadows from the audio holes.

BTW it is 3 mm LED strip, not 3mm LED itself.
3 mm = 0.11811 inches or 3/32 seconds of an inch. That's one heck of a strip.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get back to my quantum entanglement.

The wallspeaker (Patent Pending). The 3mm. front lightplate should be laid in on top inside the aluminium frame.

I could try to replace all the small holes with a 5 big holes filled with 3 mm. white open-cell PE, but I am unsure how the hole edge highlights should be dampened ?
