Hello everyone, i am a beginner, i just need to protect a device that uses 24VDC (5A) as a power supply, i would like to protect it from spikes coming from the AC line, i know that it has a regulated power supply but i need to make sure it will not get damaged again, is there any circuitry that you can share with me, TIA.

Look up varistors and/or tvs diodes.

It may be easier and (possibly) cheaper to use a surge suppressor on the mains side of the power supply (link). No need to fiddle with the electronics inside the power supply circuit.
