Hi

Can anyone enlighten me on how I could couple two strobe lights
together, like this one
(http://www.maplin.co.uk/media/largeimages/2041i0.jpg). What I
am after is one to flash once or twice then the other light repeats the
first one and so on. Is there a clock signal to possibly play around with to
achieve this? It has to be flash-flash > flash-flash, not flash >
flash-flash (out of sync)

Thanks in advance

It can be done but you will need more info than you are giving for someone
to help you. The schematic will be needed so you can figure out haow to
trigger the light externally and also build the appropriate sequencer..

Hi Alistair,

"Quality is conformance to specification", like Jimmy said.

Do you want a slave strobe that responds to a master strobe? How about
microcontrollers linking them together over an infrared link? How about
microcontrollers linking them together over an optical link?

Can they be wired together? How about microcontrollers linking them
together over a hard wired link?

Is the timing fixed? Do you want the timing fixed?

Discrete parts? Photocell, (IR receiver) shift register and clock?

So many options.
