Hello everyone,

I would like to gain a better understanding of the world of hobby electronics. The main thing that sparked this interest was me wanting to build a color organ and not knowing anything about electricity. I'm mainly here to ask questions regarding my experiments. I have taught myself the basics of DC electricity and have a rough understanding of how it all works.

Welcome aboard. I am similiar. I taught myself (very badly) the basics and come on here from time to time for insight or to pass on the little experience I have.
besides the colour organs what else have you got in mind?

I would like to program my X-mas lights this year to a pattern. I own a Arduino Duemilanove. From what I can gather it will require me to use some type of relay circuit.
