I use QWest DSL service for internet and want a spare DSL modem/router on hand in case my current one dies. Spouse works from home due to COVID so I can't really wait for a replacement to arrive. I just bought a used QWest C2000T identical to the one I'm currently using.
My question: Is there a way to check settings/test the replacement unit off-line?
I know I can log in through the standard IP address but the only way I know is to unhook my current one and connect the replacement.

Thanks,
SM

That’s a very good question. I’ve never tried it.
But I would think you could check it by connecting it with a lan cable to PC without internet. Log-in to 1.69.(your router).
You might be better to write down all your router settings and then after midnight, change over the router and input the same settings.
I’m just guessing though.
Try it.
