First I want to thank the people for previous responses to the "headphone
jack for the TV" topics. It appears to have saved me some grief.
I went to the local Radio Shack and was advised to purchase a miniature
phone jack (274-248) so that I could hookup my headphones to an old TV (1985
RCA TV/Monitor).
My first attempt wasn't successful so I thought I'd do a quick google search
of the newsgroups.
I found quite a few posts with the same question of the topic of how to
install headphone jacks on a TV and I was surprised about the 'safety
concerns'
Well, I went back to my old TV and found that the set was indeed a "hot
chassis" design.
I resoldered the speaker wires and closed the cover on this project. No
need to fry myself on this stupid project.
