Hi all -

First time poster. I have a new project I'd like to start and wondered if anyone had some advice. I own a campervan and have a directional wi-fi receiver. I'd like a way of being able to press a button in the cab and have the receiver first pop up from being in a laying down position, and then a way of rotating it 360 degrees. Because it's a directional receiver it's a faff to have to get out and move it about the van to get the best signal. I figured this way would save hassle and also be freakin' awesome. I have a bunch of spare buttons in the dash so thought I'd use a blank for it.

Thanks!

Post some photos of your antenna or a link to the model.

That would be awesome... you could do drive-bys looking for WiFi hot spots. Is this thingy mounted inside the campervan or somewhere exterior? How would you propose weatherproofing the tilt and pan mechanism if mounted on the outside of your vehicle?

Perhaps there are off the shelf (out door) panning mechanisms intended for security cams that could be adapted?
