Tobacco free Park.

Today after work, I took my dog down to the park with me. When I got
there, I noticed they put up a new sign at the entrance,
  "Recreation Park"
  " Tobacco free"

I said, hmm, neat-o. I thought that was great since I don't smoke
any way however, after walking my dog around I must of counted at least
50% of the populace there toking on something, what was that stuff they
be inhaling :)

Jamie

could have been those e-cigarettes that just evaporate a liquid looks
like

Yes, indeed. How many of those 7,000,000 have you read?

Looking at the first page we have such reputable sources as forces.org.
From their "WHO WE ARE" page, "FORCES International is an
organisation[sic] in support of human rights and - in particular, but
not limited to – the defence of those who expect from life the freedom
to smoke,...". Obviously unbiased reporting. I especially like the way
they list a number of reports showing correlation (not to be confused
with cause and effect) to benefits and yet complain about the mountain
of evidence of health problems of smoking, "There is no solid proof for
any of the diseases attributed to tobacco - just statistics and
speculative associations". Really?

The top two hits are wikipedia, one a list of health effects with the
only mention of benefits as, "Opponents counter by noting that
consumption of pure nicotine may be as beneficial as smoking without the
risks associated with smoking". The article that discusses the health
benefits is rather short, but does list a few resulting benefits without
much discussion about how useful these "benefits" really are.

Then there is voices.yahoo.com, a well established source of medical
information, not to mention cigars.about.com, so forth and so on...

Livescience.com seems to have a positive article about the topic...
"Call it a silver lining in their otherwise blackened lungs. Although
long-term smoking is largely a ticket to early death, here are (gulp)
five possible benefits from smoking. Breathe deep." Oh, wait, I guess
they aren't really all that positive about it.

Befreesd.com says there are positive health benefits from... *quitting*
smoking.

Snuff.co.in says that snuff is "an ideal substitute" for smoking which
has "a plethora of dangerous health risks".

But wait, at number 10 there is a reputable source of health
information, the CDC with a fact sheet... on the benefits of smoking
cessation!

Only 6,999,990 to go!

Well Paranoia Promotes Profitable Press is the point.
Facts are unnecessary for most, few need a balanced pov.

PS:HIV among male ballet dancers is 10x the rate of the
general population, therefore ballet dancing causes AIDS.

Is this the Windham/Willimantic Park system?

1. Tobacco product use in the proximity of children, youth and adults engaging in or watching recreational activities is unhealthy and detrimental to the health of others.

2. Tobacco products once consumed in public spaces are often discarded on the ground, thus posing a risk of ingestion to toddlers and causing a litter problem.

3. As parents, leaders, coaches, and officials we are thought of as role models, and the use of tobacco products around youth has a negative effect on their lifestyle choices.

The only one that makes some sense is #3, the others are manufactured horse manure.

You have the freedom to mangle the language, too, but it doesn't mean anyone

Lady, I posted tobacco smoking should be avoid by the fairer sex,
but smoke what you want, it's your right and I'll defend it.

As a non-smoker people are welcome to partake in smoking
(or toking) in my office, as I spared no expense on good
ventilation. If there is an objection the smoker is also
welcome in the very well ventilated kitchen.
If smoke is an issue for you, get a job and at least a
fan, or learn about AIR X-changes!
Your parents would appreciate the removal of odors from
their basement.

You couldn't handle the truth, _even_ if you *ever* saw it.

Tobacco is the biggest evil on the planet.

It depletes the soil it is grown in and REQUIRES a two year hiatus to
recover, and puts very little oxygen in the air at night.

CANNABIS, on the other hand does NOT deplete the soil it is grown in,
yields a seed stock that is second only to Soy in protein content and
second to none in Omega 3 content, and shoves more oxygen into the air at
night than nearly any plant alive does.

After that, it grows two feet per month, and the stalks can be used to
make particle board with a BETTER R factor than pine based materials and
kills exactly ZERO pine forest acreage.

AND IT IS THE MOST BENIGN, MOST EFFECTIVE analgesic to life than any
other inebriant humans EVER put into their bodies! PLUS PLUS all the
fucking way!

**** TOBACCO. AND ITS HARD HEADED FUCKTARDED USERS!

LONG LIVE CANNABIS.

More proof of your zero IQ. I said nothing about tobacco.
