Set is about 18 months old. Lately, it powers on with wavy vertical
lines in the picture. All sources, cable connections as well as VCR
and DVD inputs.
See: http://members.cox.net/ljvideo/images/wiggles-1.jpg

It starts off looking worse than the above image, and after 5 minutes
or so becomes normal, but the time between powering up and looking
normal seems to be getting longer, and the first images are getting
worse.

I've also noticed that the OSM is not affected by it, so it must not
be anything affecting tha actual CRT scanning, but in the demod, or
somewhere ahead of scanning. The OSM icons and box are perfect.

See: http://members.cox.net/ljvideo/images/wiggles-2.jpg

Where to look for this problem..? Thanks in advance.

I've gotten two sets that have a problem on the hyper board. Bad cap
leading to loss of sync for the hyper board. After warmup it's better.
Problem starts about two years after mfg. Hyper board is expensive but
haven't found bad cap ($2.00) part since it's impossible to service the
board in the set. Would have to mfg cables to allow work on the board. At
this time since only two have failed it's not worth the cost.
