TRANSFORMER QUESTIONS

I plan to use a single phase transformer. 500 volts Primary - 24 volts Secondary.

The transformer is designed to be used at 50/60 HZ

I have a 500 volt output from a device but at a super hi hz operation.
Can the above transformer handle my devices higher frequencys and more important will the secondary show 24 volts at the same hi frequency?

Also by stepping down the hi voltage will the current in the secondary be higher?

Your help will be most appreciated.

The core of the transformer is almost certainly iron. This will misbehave at high frequencies.

What do you mean "super hi hz"? is it 440Hz, or 200,000Hz? (SHF refers to frequencies between 3 and 30 GHz, and I'm almost 100% sure you don't mean that)

It will probably work. I assume you want to run this on board an aircraft. from various sources, this frequency seems to be at the upper limit of what a mains power transformer will operate at.

No guarantees, but if it misbehaves, it is exceedingly unlikely do so in a way that is dangerous.
