I want to try to sell a factory sealed reel of SMD resistors, so don't want to break the factory seal to read the actual value unless I have to. The reel is marked 'Vishay CRCW2512 68 1% R67', my quandary is that right below this first line, it reads:
'CPN: CRCW2512680J'
I'm thinking the 'CPN' might mean 'Customer Part Number', and that I should ignore it(?)
The first line seems obvious: Series CRCW Case Size 2512 68 Ohms 1% Tolerance (I don't know what the 'R67' is for)
I've spent an hour trying to find the old CRCW data sheet, and can only find presently available part numbers.
Previously, a Dale SMD would read '680' for 68 Ohms, and 681 for 680 Ohms.
As near as I can tell from my Google search, NOW, Vishay marks a 680 Ohm SMD AS 680 (instead of previous 681)
And the 'J' suffix on the 'CPN' second line would indicate a 5% Tolerance for presently available Vishay SMD resistors.
What do you think? Just completely disregard the 'CPN' line, and assume this is a reel of 68 Ohm resistors at 1% Tolerance?
Thanks for any guesses.
