Hi

I need to build a pre amp to enable me to plug my Record Player Turnrtable
into the Line In of my computer in order to convert some Vinyl to MP3.

Anyone point me to a schematic?

Thanks

Do you have a 'tape out' on your stereo amplifier? If so do what I do when I
want to convert my vinyl to .wav, .cda or mp3 etc. This is assuming of
course that you have 'phono in' on that amp and can actually play the
records in the first place.

I have a lead that connects to the stereo amp at the 'tape out' RCA sockets
at one end and the other end is terminated in a 3.5mm stereo jack plug that
plugs into the 'line in' socket on my sound card. This works well for me
when used in conjunction with 'Wave Repair' software that allows me to
remove all the clicks, pops and scratches on the old vinyl.

You might have to either add and or adjust the equalization to conform to
R.I.A.A. but these should give you a start.
