Looking for, how to build, locate, create a solution
The problem:
I have many systems that need 12vdc at 6a.
When the PS fails, someone needs to drive to this locate and swap out the PS, this could take a day or more

The idea:
Monitoring the PS(A) 12vdc out. If the 12v goes beyond threshold
..the relay turns off power to PS(A) turns on PS(B)
Maybe a timer, wait 5 minutes before switching to PS(B)
USB sends a "1" ( or stops sending a '0')

Problem, when PS(A) fails, there is no power, other than 110vac
Use a battery or capacitor to power the circuit ?
When PS(B) is powered, 12v and/or USB 5v is available

The system will notify that PC(A) not working....be replaced when convenience.

Thanks

Why does the PSU fail?
The P.S. has a life span of 3-5 years. These are off the shelve 12v/6A supplies.
Yes, a better supply would last longer, and this is what they use. Yet, An IP power switch (110v) could work ....off the shelve item
