UL rules for toasters?

Aybody can point me to some info about the UL rules for home bread toasters?

It's my impression that toasters have been required to have double-pole
switches,
or some other method of being "fork-zap-proof" for many many decades now.

I recall taking apart toasters in the 1950's that had double-pole switches,
but a more reliable source of info would be nice.

Any hints appreciated.

P.S.: I can't afford to buy the UL rulebooks!

It's still UL1026, but that's about all I know.

If you're designing a toaster you should at least factor the cost of
getting all relevent information, required to do the work, into your
budget.

copy, copy, copy.

OTOH if you want to stick a fork in your old toaster, wear hot gloves
;-)

Sir,

If you cannot afford the rules, then you certainly cannot and will afford
the huge up front listing payment, followed by a series of never ending and
increasing in scope as you increase in scope costs, documentation packages,
tests and mostly a management system to document the materials and sources.

This being said, I have done this many times and can help you but then you
cant afford me :) Oh well good luck.

BTW you don't need U: for you to screw around with the Pan-o-cha machine and
make some nice bread! You may even give one to Padres, for their home use,
too. But commercial establishments, and items for sale... No way ... Jose.

Hasta Luego, y via con dios
