Hello,
I'm repairing a Fresh Air unit by Ecoquest. I found a blown ceramic capacitor that I need to replace.
However I cannot identify what size of capacitor it is.

I found these markings on it. It is hard to make out because it blew both sides out.
However I believe these are the markings.
Side A:
15( )5
34( )

Side B:
E 8
CSA
I don't know what the parentheses indicate. I can't find any explanation online.

I called Ecoquest to see if they could look at their schematics and simply tell me the value of the capacitor, but they're not helping me.

Does anyone know?
Thank you
Phil

Hello,

Are you sure is is a capacitor?
Can you post some pictues of front and back?
Perhaps it can be a surge varistor.

Thank you Bertus, I think this may actually be a Class-y Capacitor. The board has 2 markings that I forgot to mention.
One lead is HOT and the other lead is NEU.

The other indication is that it's CSA stamped on it.

I'll send a picture

Class Y would normally go across live and Gnd.
Class X across live and neutral.

Thank you Martin, I appreciate your help.
I was able to find the proper varistor according to Bertus' response.
