Hello everyone, I've read posts on this site before when doing projects like - making a marine generator, hooking up diy autopilots, automations, etc.

Long story short, I have a boat that runs windows in the cockpit as a nav station, and want to hook up temperature sensors (senders) to the pc. I'd love to have other sensors as well - most of them are 5v powered, with a variable 0-5 volt range output representing the measurement range.

So - does anyone know of a something akin to a voltmeter that I could hook up to a windows pc? Maybe usb?

Thanks for any pointers!
-Peter

Many years ago I used a simple USB joystick interface module to get analog/digital signals into a PC (windoze) called the BU0836. Since that time it has been improved upon but still offers multi-channel input with the simplest access via Wiindoze given its USB joystick simulation:

The key advantage of this device is there's no need for a driver....
