I would like to use a PWM to trigger multiple sharp 12V regulators. The PWM outputs dual brightness one for tail lights and one for brakes/indicators. My idea here is to use NPN transistor to switch the on/off pin 4 on the vreg to high to have the output ON. This should work, no?

Unless you want the output to be PWM regulated too you'll have to use a diode & a small capacitor to make a clean control signal.

Yes, the output must be PWM'd. It is going to be supplying multiple LED arrays in the middle panel of my Aurora's tail light section. Will have tails/brake function.

This is one 32 LED array in the panel without lenticular diffuser. Just to give an idea of what this is for..
