Using Step Up Transformer

I recently moved from a high voltage (240v) country to a low voltag
country (120v). I brought along my home stereo system and some othe
small appliance that requires the input of 240v, to reuse thes
appliance / tv/ stereo in a low voltage country i bought step u
transformer from a local hardware store. HOwever, one thing i a
worry about is whether or not there are potential dangers fro
constantly using a stepup transformer ...hope the expert here ca
give me some advic

Should be fine if the transformer has the capacity (watts) to handle your
equipment. If it does not, it might get hot and be damaged.
