Vertical hold problem

I have a Zenith SJ3271W television. It was working fine until we moved it to another house. Since then, the vertical is messed up on it. The bottom of the picture is all squashed up. Did we move something inside while trying to get it into the car or while carrying it downstairs? Capacitors look fine. The thing is so old, but it is all we have downstairs. Got any ideas?

Perhaps it was comfy at the first house and has gone into a huff.

If it is an old TV, you could try a fresh frame output valve.

Squashing of the picture bottom is due to a lack of sufficient current in the frame output stage. This can be due to the capacitor feeding the supply to the output. If the TV was not used for a while, then the electrolytic capacitor may have degraded.

Being that its a Zenith, you might check with local parts house if they have a dud program. They will exchange price the unit.

I can't remember if this was a main board or daughter board problem.
