Drive a single phase motor from the single phase power source. Use the motor to drive a three phase generator.

Or use an inverter.

Or, make a simple starting system for a 3-phase motor. Some people just use their foot on a sheave attached to the shaft. I use a capacitor with a voltage controlled relay to cut the starting capacitor out of the circuit once it is up to speed. Three-phase power can be taken from that "idling" motor to power other motors. It is called a rotary converter, which is similar to, but not exactly the same as a motor-generator set.

How clean a 3-phase do you need?

What do you need the 3 phase for? In some cases, like a pottery kiln, the reason for the 3 phase is the amount of power required and in such cases conversion will not work.

1phase to 3phase

dear all,

thanks for your valuable replies, but i would like to know the circuit which could convert single phase to 3-phase and that three phase i would require to run 3-phase water pump at well.
but further i would even like to replace this single phase by solar supply

thanks
Rakesh

Your original question was quite general.

For more specific suggestions:
What voltage and what current do you need for the pump?
What supply voltage and current do you have available?
How far is the pump from where you will be generating the 3-phase?
Do you need the 3-phase generator to turn on only when needed or will it be on contiunously?
