Is it feasible to do this in the first place? I know1516623886397734577330.jpg 15166239525351493239007.jpg that with this rating if I succeed on replacing the connector, I could safely charge 1.5 hours right?

What are these 2 "extra" red wires for?
As it states on the battery: Standard MPX type balancer connector
A balancer is required when charging LiPo's to ensure equally charged cells within the battery stack.
You should not use the wall wart as shown. You risk a drastic reduction in lifetime of the battery plus possibly destruction in a clud of fire and smoke.
Get a suitable charger with built-in balancer matching the connector on this battery.

If the likes of Apple, Samsung, and Boeing cannot charge Lithium Ion batteries without setting them on fire, what makes you think you can?

The battery has three Li-PO cells. It is 12.6V when fully charged and averages 11.1V during a discharge.
The 4 wires plug into a balanced charger with a wire for each cell plus a common 0V wire. The two wire plug is its high power output.
A balanced charger prevents each cell from overcharging and limits the current. Your idea will probably cause a spectacular explosion!

I understand now, thanks very much for the explanation, I thought it could be something important to know and that is why I asked in the first place! I guess I will have to save up and buy the charger again.

LiPo batteries are very commonly used by the model aero, car, boat fraternity. Therefore there is a fairly large number of charge management devices available at sensible prices with all sort of paraphernalia to accompany them. Have a look on the Hobbyking web site.
A cautionary note: Do not attempt do build a LiPo charger unless you know exactly what you are doing.
Also ref' reply #2 i would like to know what a clud is.

Yup, that looks as though it should fit the bill. How do they do it for the money. I couldn't buy the bits for that price.

Clouds are white fluffy things that float in the sky on a nice tranquil day. Cluds are them great thumping thunderous black woppers that rain and hail on you when on the way to the shop! Clods are what you bring into the house after being out in the Clud storm! And Clogs are what you bring the Clods in on! Hope this helps!

I recently tried to charge one of those High Amperage car starter packs. With the charger that came with it I stress! After 40 minutes the case of the unit split apart and the battery was twice normal size! Fortunately it didn't do anything more drastic and I was there to turn it off. The battery is now kaput! A 40+ C day did not help I assume?

I recommend buying quality charger for lipos, not some cheap chinese one. If you have seen how they explode you don't want to play with them at all.
