Hi,
where can I get S53AMI part for the JBL PSW-D110 subwoofer?
I contacted harmanaudio.com for the part, but they discontinued it.
Where else can I buy this part for the subwoofer?

thanks

JBL is a division of Harman Consumer Group. The only place that I know of
is Harman. Be sure to ask them for any service bulletins. I think there is
a kit for a couple of caps that fail in these.

its an amplifier (metal enclosed circuit build onto the subwoofer) I think.
Don't know much about that part.

Try part number 60301. Actually, this is how they give it in the servicers
website:

000000000000060301 POWER AMP MODULE S53AMI

As far as I know it's still available.

There's also a 10uF 50V bipolar cap which needs to be upgraded to 100V, and
the main filter caps often open up on these as well.

Is the S53AMI same as COOPER 60301 POWER HACKSAW, WE-2104-8? I looked
for it on VanceBaldwin.com with 60301 as the part number, and it me
Power Hacksaw as the description. Can somebody confirm this.

thanks

I would be EXTREMELY surprised if it were the same.

Power hacksaw? No way.

P.S.

Order it from Harman International.

Be aware that if it's installed backwards, which is easy to do, it will be
destroyed when power is applied.
