Hi.
Parser?
Is the new Electronics Point / EETech still using Xenoforo, or phpBB?
If either, which version?

Can I download parser software or the html parser / tester package?,
.. as phpBB.com provides a downloadable app from their site called SCEdit.
The user opens Example.HTML then types in BB test-code or uses the WYSIWYG icons, allowing flipping from code to displayed page.

Being interested in coding, and practical purpose on E.P. site, such as creating a table, I want to test BB codes on my computer at home, before submitting code which may not work properly when parsed at server end.

Errors Found in BB help

Alignment tabs missing
The alignment tabs
[left][/left][center[/center][right][/right]
are missing from the help code examples on using BB-formatted text syntax.

Table
Shouldn't [TCOL=2][/TCOL=2] be [TCOL=2][/TCOL] ?
AFAIK in HTML coding, the opening tab has the variable, closing tab not.

Table border lines?
Table Header1:Table Header2:
Table Data1Table Data2

Sorry - I see the parser / display does the lines automatically! :D

BB code Test page ?
For those wanting to pre-test the appearance of a page, or whether a non-listed tab will work, can a forum / thread be created, maybe in the help section ?
The raw BB code can be shown, (maybe bracketed with plain tags), plus the displayed result?

Regards, FL.

Bbcode is seemingly not proprietary to this forum. Google "bbcode test" to find a lot of sites to test your code.

This forum is still using XenForo (1.5.x) and there is some more information on BBCODE on this page here:

https://www.electronicspoint.com/forums/help/bb-codes

To test how BBCode will look, you can type out your test message in a reply box and click the "more options" button underneath the editor (or create a new thread and skip that step). Then, click the "preview" box under the editor and it'll parse any text/bbcode and show you what it would look like :).
