Hi, I’m new to this forum and simply cannot tell which wire is positive on my Schulze Chamäleon isl 6 battery charger. Note that the ones I can’t figure out are the ones that would go to the power supply, not the battery. There are two red wires and one of them has a black stripe on it. Would much appreciate any advice on this. I tried surfing the internet for answers with multiple search’s but got very different and unreliable answers. Advice MUCH appreciated!

thanks,

This photo
( and others by doing a Google search "images" for your unit)

shows the black trace wire as negative.

By convention:
black = negative
red = positive.
Look at the clamps, not the wire.

Thanks! Yeah I actually found that photo online as well and the more I think about it, it’s probably right, but just wanted to be sure since I’ve already blown up one of these by giving it 30v instead of 12v :). Also, mine does not have the clamps at the end; it’s just stripped bare wire at the end. Thanks so much for the advice though!
