Does the newest technology suggest anything that can replace MOSFET in the near future? Or is it gonna be around for a long time still?

They do a particular job and do it well, so why replace it?
I'm just ticked off when the English language gets abused.

Well, technology advances and surely something better will come up in the future. I don't think it will just stop there.

For high power, high efficiency applications GaN is already replacing Silicon MOSFETs.
But in a strict sense GaN is also a kind of MOSFET, only based on different materials. Current between source and drain is controlled by a gate voltage in a GaN transistor, too.

Almost surely will happen. But not in the near future, as you originally asked.

Just like the BJT, MOSFET's are not going away anytime soon.

Not this week.
While I believe our new breed of electric vehicle makes use of IGBJT devices for motor control the lions share of the motor control segment remains MOSFET.

"Gonna" is is informal English speech but in Italian it means "skirt".
Standard Pennsylvania speech, I lived there before I graduated high school. After I left I had to learn how to talk properly :)
Example: I ain't not gonna do dat. I mean the people there really did talk like that!
