Hi all,

Not sure if this is the right forum or not but i was hoping for some guidance and possibly an explanation of an issue i have.

I'm currently in the process of building a bait boat which is something i have done several times before, only this time i have decided to fit an auto pilot kit.

I had fitted 2 motors which powered by 2 x 7.4v lipos running in parallel. The motors drew under an amp each on the bench and ran at about 3500rpm. I then experimented with some other motors which ran at about 15000rpm and drew between 2.5 and 3 amps each on the bench.

The autopilot kit which is called a puck pilot stopped working each time i tested these new motors running them at full speed. This has happened twice now and having sent the kit back i have been advised that the bluetooth module has blown.

I have uploaded a wiring diagram(sorry it's not very professional) which shows how i have connected wired it all up. The p102 distribution board has a 6v output for the receiver which supplies the earth for the puck pilot. VOltage to the puck pilot is suppled direct from the distribution board.

The guy that runs the company has been very helpful and has told me that i need to connect the earth from the receiver to the voltage earth, presumably one of the earths that the ESC's and motors are connected to.

I have no doubt about what he is telling me, i just need to understand where i have been going wrong previously before i blow another £300 piece of equipment.

THanks in advance

NP

Just notice on my diagram i haven't drawn the motors. Each motor is wired to its own ESC
