is there any good website to learn about transistors, mainly:
dc biasing techniques, reading data sheets and choosing right one for
a given application.
thanks for reading this.

There are many websites that give elementary information about transistors.
Some have info detailing the basic types and their markings, like http:/
www.4qdtec.com/trtypes.html

I think you may want the info at: http://www.kpsec.freeuk.com/components
tran.htm

I found that the printed manuals from the Navy N.E.E.T.S. series provide a
really good basic foundation of transistor (semiconductor) theory, and they
cover the various tpyes like UJTs, FETs, JFETs, MOSFETs, vanilla NPN and
PNP, etc. pretty well. Look for Module 7 "Intoduction to Solid-State
Devices and Power Supplies". You may also want module 8 "Introduction to
Amplifiers" and module 9 "Introduction to Wave-Generation and Wave-Shaping
Circuits" also.

Hope this helps,

Eli
