Chassis usually means the metal structure that holds the electronic devices.
In the days of vacuum tubes it was the metal plate on which the tube sockets
were mounted. Today it can be any mechanical structure that holds the
components

The chassis is often grounded (earth ground) for safety purposes if it
possible for the user to come in contact with it. It may be used as a zero
volt referance ground for the electronics. Whether the chassis is grounded
and how it used is dependant on the application and the local safety
requirements.

I have never heard of the term "body ground" being used for anything.

Maybe he was thinking of Frame Ground ( US usage ) aka FG.

Frame ( USA ) = chassis ( UK )
