Hi All,
I bought one of those X-logic L28 MP3/WMA 256Mbyte players from GO-LO
for $99.
The player itself works fine, but I have found a problem concerning
its installation on Win98SE computers.
On 3 of my computers it left a program called ymdcapp.exe in the
start-up group of programs. This program being left there caused all
sorts of trouble with previously satisfactory working programs, which
ceased to work reliably.
Once I eliminated ymdcapp.exe from the start-up group of programs
using regedit, everything worked fine again. Just deleting ymdcapp.exe
fromC:\Windows\System would work just as well.
People using later models of Windows than 98SE would have no problems,
since no installation is required for external hard drives on these
versions of Windows.
