16 ohm to 8 ohm quad box conversion

I have a quad box with 4 x 16 ohm speakers wired to give 16 ohm (series/parallel). is it possible to rewire to get 8 ohms? Or am I limited to 16 or 4 (parallel/parallel) as alternatives

That would be dependent on the capabilities of your final audio power amplifier?

Its possible, are there any crossover networks in speaker present ?

I don't see a way how to connect these 4 impedances in a way that gives [imath]8 \Omega[/imath].

Easy as pie. But most likely not what the op wants.
Most likely I would have to agree with you I don't have the experience as you do of what op's wants are... Respectfully but I'm learning from my mistakes.
