Has anyone ever got something to be louder with a step down transformer.

I imagine if u start with fairly high volts, and go into a small load, it can actually make it louder?

Whatever you step down, you'll always have to respect that: power out < power in
Therefore whatever you mean by "louder": no.
Less power means less loud.

To make it louder, switch the mains input of the transformer from "240V" to "115V", then run it on 240V. Guaranteed to make a loud bang, at least!

Ratstar, try it with Falstad sim. I’m sure you’ll get it to work just how you imagine it should.
