Hey folks!,
I recently got an AOC A42HD84 plasma TV from a friend and it doesn't get any picture at all. It powers up and my computer recognizes it through a 2nd DVI output from my video card. I've taken off the back cover took a smell and a close look but cant visually see any bulging capacitors or fried resistors or any missing parts. I'm hoping someone might know of a simple fix before I start using my multi meter incorrectly and fry it or something else on the TV. I've looked at all the fuses which are slow-blow and noticed some of them have a blue stripe at 1 end. Is that a "blown" indicator or does it represent value?
Now the bonus section of this post!! My good friend does the e-waste pick up for AOC here in Fremont so if anyone needs boards or parts or monitors,TV's or anything else they make chances are I can get it eventually. Just let me know what you need or want and I will do my best to get it to you.
