Hello,

I have a schematic for an AM circuit and it requires audio input. I searched and see so many different types of audio jacks.

How do I choose the right audio jack?

Thanks

You choose the one that fits your plug, or one that you think is appropriate.

Often 3.5mm sockets are used. Other options include RCA, DIN, 2.5mm, etc.

Choose mono or stereo as required. If in doubt, a stereo socket is good because you can include resistors to mix both channels rather than taking just one (or risking shorting them)

I didn't know about RCA and DIN and i am looking at them now.

If there is any PCB layout with audio input, please share, i am not confident

thanks
