I am hoping someone might have suggestions for me with a similar situation. I need a sound activated device (triggered by dog howling/barking) that will activate an ear piercing noise to STOP the howling/barking! I am desperate! I have loud green noise playing at night so I cannot hear the dogs. They are in a room in our home directly under a guest room. So clearly I have to STOP this behavior or we will never be able to have guests stay. This is a recent behavior and I sure could use some help with an electronic solution.

How about you train them?
Locking pets in a room is certainly not the answer.
They need love and attention. Above all, know their place in the family hierarchy.
If you can’t look after them OR control them, give to someone who will.

♀️♀️♀️ they are intact show dogs which can not be loose when unattended! Unbelievable!

So, basically, an income and/or ego-creating solution to you? If they offer an income then spend some of it on kennels for them.

TBH if you can't control your dogs then you shouldn't even own them.

Not sure this would work but how about a positive reinforcement approach.
If they dont bark over a period of time they get rewarded, If they do bark
no treats for some length of time. Use this in conjunction with small lights
or LEDs, a treat is coming, if they bark reset system and start over.

Find a website, with vets and their aids, where they discuss generalities
of caring for pets and pose a question, would the above be effective, if
so some target times to dial into solution.

Maybe you even train them first hand, not sure of approach, but animals
are, in my opinion, pretty smart in general terms.

Just a thought.

Regards, Dana.

All of you can go **** yourselves! I do not need behavior help with my dogs. They are a hobbie and are well under control. I asked for ELECTRONIC help from an ELECTRONIC forum and got zero help! You people seriously need to get a life!

I have turned off notifications do knock yourself out with whatever else you want to say and make yourselves look like asses to other people on this forum. I will not be reading any further replies!

Mmmmmmm, I think NOT!!. You’ve already proved that by your questioning.
Anyhow, no need to read this as hopefully, a moderator will take care of your account.
This is an open global forum and the only ass is fortunately YOU.

Without scientists, electrical, electronic engineers nothing would work!
Life as you know it... is our life. We wouldn't be having this conversation.
Even if I had an idea I could only provide you schematics you have to know how to assemble, soldering components onto a printed circuit board.
Dogs respond to auditory stimuli,Classical music calms them down along with olfactory stimuli- Lavender essential oils.
Ask your veterinarian.
