broken car alarm key chain

I have a 98' corolla w/ the stock alarm. However the car alarm key
chain fastner broke; the clicker still works.
I have called local alarm places and they don't carry a shell for
this. Besides paying a arm and a leg at the dealer
is their a way to replace the shell for the key chain?

Check with local locksmiths some handle car alarm components as well.
