I suspect you meant to say in parallel. Ten LEDs in series would not light from a 3v source.

Get a bigger battery or run the LEDs at half power. Double the current limiting resistor I hope you're using...

Sorry but I don't understand what you're asking and/or stating.

If you're draining a (good?) 1Ah battery in half an hour with 10 LEDs in parallell then you must be running 200mA in each LED... Are they getting warm? No resistors?

Some blue or white LEDs barely operate at 3V, and so might light only when the battery is very fully charged. Could this be your problem?

If so, you have two choices: 1) Use a somewhat higher voltage battery, 2), Keep the same battery but choose LEDs which need less voltage - they may need to be a different colour.

Most likely you will then have to add series resistors to avoid the current getting too high. Unless the LEDs are a matched set, it is preferable to use a separate resistor for each one.

Like resqueline said you must be draining 200ma for each LED , are you using a small 5mm LED , or a higher 1 watt led ??
If you are using the smaller led , then you have issues with the battery , check if the battery is authentic , and not a fake .
If you don't know what series and parallel connections are just click here
