Hi,
Im looking for a switch for a specific purpose and it’s driving me nuts that I cannot find what I need.
Basically, I have a 110V circuit that I would like to activate via a momentary switch.

The momentary switch needs to:

- Complete the circuit when pressed, and break when released.
- Be able to handle 110v 16amps AC

And that’s it, to the best of my ability I cannot find a switch that will work.
Now I’m no electrician, so I could be missing something vital.
I have seen some units that will take the AC 110V power and convert it into DC 5V, this would allow me to use a smaller switch, but is this my only option?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Tyler

Using a relay driven by the switch would be simple.

Bouncing around digi-key, 24 A limit switches are more common than 20 A pushbutton switches. A more industrial distributor like Newark or Allied probably will have more of both.
