Hi,
I am trying to drive a 1V-3V motor which ill be connected to an audio output port (where you insert headphones or a speaker) and I am wondering, can I just put it there like that, or do I actually need to build some sort of amplifier circuit to run it properly. I am doubting current levels would be insufficient.

I am very new to the world of electronics. So be easy on me.

Thank you in advance,
Ahmed

I want to drive a motor based on an audio file. I don't want to use a microphone.

you are going to have to expand on that brief and unclear explanation :)

be specific about what you are actually trying to achieve

cheers
Dave

I need the motor to change speeds according to the pace/bass of the audio file. I don't know what else to say...

How about:
What will the motor be driving?
What is the overall aim of the project?

Answer in DETAIL please.
