I am trying to find a way to turn an old analog oscilloscope into an EKG for experimental / display purposes.

Now, I have next to no electronic experience, but I know enough to know that the skin conductance is normally in the range of microvolts - below the amplification range of an unaided oscilloscope as well as nullified by the electrostatic conditions present on the skin's surface. Thus, that has to be amplified using some means.

How would I go about constructing an amplifier? I understand it needs an instrument amplifier chipset and resistors, everything else is purely over the top of my head.

Attachment to the oscilloscope is no hard task, the one that I'm using has the good old wire binding posts as well as banana plug inserts.
