Kenwood KDC-W4544U

Just installed a Kenwood KDC-W4544U into my car, everything works on it except the iPod connection, I am trying to connect the iPod with the USB cable which comes with the ipod itself to connect it to the head unit, but it says no device. I have read online people saying it works for them, so does anyone know how I can solve this?

did u try searching for updates on kenwood website

also did you make sure it was turned on in the menu kenwood decks that have AUX inputs you have to go into the menu and turn it on. probl gotta turn off the sources (hit source til says all off) than hold downwhichever button says MENU with a square by it. on my deck its the SYSTEM Q button

iPod connection

for model kdc-w4544u,you try changing usb high speed cable for iPod mode.
some usb normal cable are not working.
