Kenwood KR-V7030 Receiver

I have a Kenwood KR-V7030, and page 6 of the instruction manual shows adding a CD player via 2 jacks. My question is this -- are these 5.1 multichannel analog inputs? The CD player I'm wanting to buy requires 5.1 multichannel analog inputs.

No, it's showing a typical stereo CD player. You would need a set of 5.1 channel inputs, it's best to usually use a digital input for something like that. Be it optical or coaxial, digital is just easier to deal with then having it decoded in the player first and sent out to the receiver via 6 analog outs. With digital it would be just one cable.
