My Mitsubishi TV has a low audio hum and the top part of the picture
"breathes". A search on the 'Net shows a similar problem in a CS-2610R
was caused by R521, a 1.2 ohm resistor. Can anyone with a schematic of
the CS-2611R confirm whether or not that resistor or a similar one is in
the circuit of the CS-2611R? TIA.

I'm not a tv guy but the 2610 and the 2611 are the same inside. The cabinet
style is different. Often capacitors are the culprits for problems such as
yours. Hope my own 2610 doesn't start up with this - I'm hoping to get a
couple more years out of it.

Also look for bad solder joints in the IF stage and dried glue.

Thanks for the tips. I have replaced all the capacitors in the vertical circuit
and the diode as well. I guess I'll look for bad joints and that 1.3 ohm
resistor. All that's left is the vertical IC, an LA7836.
