Lots of 12V PWM controllers on Ebay. If yours is a 'brushed' motor then there's loads of solutions.
so kellys_eye says that there's loads of options but bluejets says that I won't be able to find a quality PWM controller that is capable of those currents, just wondering because they are contradicting comments? To begin with, you have not yet determined what type of motor it is.
If it is 3 phase brushless, you won't do it with PWM.
If it is a brushed type motor, you certainly will not find a pwm device on Ebay capable of those currents, at least not of any ,what would be considered, quality.
If you do find any off-the-shelf pwm controller capable, be prepared to pay many times more than the cost of the motor.
As my grandfather used to say, if you want a Ferrari , buy a Ferrari.
