This VCR was struggling to rewind a tape. Inititally it was OK then it slowed with a whining sound. After about 30 seconds, there was a popping sound and it lost all power.
I have removed the loading mechanism and looked at the board but cannot see anything wrong.
I tested fuse and it is OK.
I have virtually no knowledge of electronics but am a capable DIYer.
Any suggestions appreciated.
