Southwestern bell freedom phone

I have a southwestern bell freedom phone, (S2100 system).
Recently the volume on the handset went to almose inaudiable.
I have no idea how i did this, and when I checked the book for the
phone I could not find how to reverse it.

Does anybody know anything about these phones?
Is it a simple setting that needs changed? Or is a a fault with the
phones?

Thanks,
Niall.

Not an expert but have three FS-246 Freedom phone systems and do my own
maintance on them.

I recall there is a switch on the KSU or a program setting to boost the
audio on the phones. Check your manual.

Does the problem move if you move the handset to another phone?

Possibly the memory battery is failing and the KSU has lost it's
programing. The battery looks like a AA cell but really is made up of 3
110 MAH ni-cads. I just built new ones myself but DigiKey can build a
welded pack for you if thats the problem.

Check the handset cord they get lots of wear.

I only have two handsets in the house, both of them are the S2100, but
the problem occurs on both phones.
I will look into the KSU though, thanks,

Niall.
